According to this parable, the power and the influence of the Kingdom of God in this world is suppose to grow like yeast. Yeast is a substance like baking power, that is used with flour and other ingredients to make bread rise. However, yeast does not work simply by throwing it in the flour. You have to spend time kneading in the yeast ‘all through the dough’. You also need to knead the dough until all the rough edges and the bad air pockets are removed. This is what the body of Christ is experiencing today. As a corporate body while we are locked down we are being pressed down and being pushed back but we are just going through kneading or refining process. We have to continue to be refined until all the rough edges such as religious dogma, misuse of gifts and bad spirits are removed. But throughout this process the kingdom of God will rise because in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us.
